Hologram artwork submission requirements and suggestions.

To design holograms, we work with Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Adobe Photoshop CS3 in a PC format. Please send "line art" (vector) files in Illustrator or EPS format.

If your artwork is to be made into a process hologram, please send artwork as a layered Photoshop file. If this is not possible, we can also use JPEG, GIF, BMP, PICT  and TIFF files. However, if the file is not in vector format there will be a charge to redraw your image into a usable format.

Artwork can be e-mailed to us at quotes@hsciholograms.com

To ensure exact replication of text layout and/or font style on your hologram (especially important for company logos), either change the text to "outlines" in Illustrator (or other vector based program) or embed the font file. This is very important because if your artwork contains a font that we don't have it will be replaced with a default font.

If your hologram or label is to be overprinted, please note that our presses are designed to hold a minimum of a 3% dot in any gradient. If your artwork has a gradient in which the color goes below 3%, there will be a thick, broken edge where the dots become too small (or stop) and drop off of the printing plates. For example, if you have a background that blends from black to "white," the gradient should be set up as 100% black to 3% black.
